I’m Ashraful Islam Sojib, an entrepreneur from Jamira, Khulna. My journey began with small trading, long trips to source a single laptop, and a school scholarship that became my first business capital. Today, I am building Laptop BD while growing Repair Bangladesh as a practical training initiative for people who want to learn real technical skills.

03 / The path behind the work
Small beginnings.
Steady progress.
I grew up in Jamira, Khulna, where my family worked hard through financial difficulties. I helped in small shops, returned to formal education, and eventually used a school scholarship to begin buying and reselling used devices.
That early experience became the foundation for Sajib Telecom in Noapara and, later, Laptop BD in Dhaka. I learned about customers, technical problems, risk and trust by working through each stage.

Repair skills grow through understanding a fault, testing components, using tools properly and practising on real hardware. That is the approach behind the training initiative I want to develop further.
The aim is to help learners build useful technical abilities, whether they hope to work as technicians or eventually start their own repair businesses. Results depend on learning, practice and opportunity.

More than a shop.
Online marketplaces helped me begin trading while I was still a student. Later, the Laptop BD website and content on social platforms became essential ways to explain products and connect with customers.
When physical business was disrupted during the COVID-19 period, those digital channels helped us stay connected. The experience strengthened my belief in clear information, practical support and continuing to adapt.

My long-term goal is to see capable repair entrepreneurs across all 64 districts of Bangladesh. I want more young people to have opportunities to learn a technical skill, build confidence and serve the communities around them.
It is an aspiration still in progress. Making it possible will take good training, ethical business practices, reliable tools and continued support as learners move into employment or self-employment.
